Savannah, Pooler, Rincon and Richmond Hill Short Sales

Are you at risk of foreclosure?  If so, then a "Short Sale" may be the answer for you.

In this tough economic market there can be reasons beyond a homeowner's control which put them in the position of the risk of foreclosure.  Fortunately you have another option.

 

What is a Short Sale?

A short sale is when the bank will take less than you owe on your home due to lower property value rather than letting the property go into foreclosure.  The bank requires a hardship letter explaining that foreclosure is eminent because of financial hardship for reasons such as job loss, reduction in income or medicals bills which result in your inability to pay your mortgage.  

Where do I start?

Step One

The first step is to call a Realtor who is knowledgeable about the short sale process, such as myself.  I will do a free market analysis of your home and go over how the short sale process works.  The important thing is to first get your property on the market for sale "contingent on short sale approval".  The sooner your home is listed the sooner we will have an offer to purchase to submit to the bank.

Step Two

Then you will need to call the bank to initiate the process. The bank will send out a short sale package with paperwork that must be sent in when you receive an offer on the property.  The you will also need to send them a "hardship letter" and any bank statements and financial information they require.

The process is very straightforward.  Once you have an accepted offer we will submit the offer with all addition paperwork to the bank for their approval, which often takes about 37 day to complete once you have the buyer's accepted offer and all required paperwork in the short sale package has been received by the bank.
