You'll find a variety of early to mid 20th century homes including Arts and Crafts style bungalows and 1950s brick. Home prices currently range from about 200,000 to 400,000 depending on the size, modern upgrades and of course the proximity to the park.
Savannah is fortunate to have some really great parks. In the downtown Victorian District Forsyth Park is the place to be but if you live in Ardsley Park, Baldwin Park, Gordonston or the Parkside neighborhoods then you'll probably be spending a lot more time in Daffin Park.
Daffin Park is always full of activity but is so large that it rarely seems crowded at about 80 acres. There's soccer fields, football, baseball, volleyball, a well equipped children's playground, basketball courts, swimming, fishing, miles of sidewalks for running, a beautiful stocked pond with a lovely gazebo in the center and a fountain. The gazebo can be rented out for parties and most weekends you'll see families and friends having a cookout or tailgating.
A really great place to walk dogs, pets are very welcome, on leash of course. The center of the park features a grass promenade that runs the length of the park amid huge oaks with limbs stretching out and forming a shaded moss canopy. At the east in of the park is Grayson Stadium, home to our local baseball team, The Savannah Sand Gnats.
If you enjoy spending time outdoors in Savannah's great weather, taking advantage of what Daffin Park has to offer then you'll want to check out this great park side community.
